Ok, so you probably noticed there's not much posting here on Crapwater. Yep we suck. But just to be honest about it, we can barely keep up with our original Finewater blog and that's where we've been posting. So please go check us out there. The link is here . We may crank up Crapwater again at some point, but for now we're just too dang lazy busy to keep it up.

Almost time

Won't be long before these dudes are packed into the shallows feeding. There are a few of them in there right now, like the fish in the photo. I cruised through the carp flats while doing a bit of panfishing. Saw this guy tailing and put a PT on his nose, which he ate. Yeah baby.

Carpin' and writing about carpin'

Paddled the flats this past weekend and spooked a few carp in shallow water.  Even saw a couple of big carp tailing.  Made a few absolutely terrible casts and spooked them, but that's ok.  The carp are starting to move up and it's about to be ON.

This video has popped up on few message boards, so I figure why not here too.  Really good footage of some Korean carpin' to get us through until warm weather and carp season.

Deader than a hammer

Not sure what that phrase means exactly, but a friend used to say it all the time when things were slow. And right now things are slow on the carp/gar/crapwater front. Can't wait until warm weather gets here. In the meantime, go check out our latest casting tip over on our other blog, Finewater.
